Décor is cutlery with an artistic edge. Using the knife as a canvas, employed is an ultramodern technique for etching onto blades. For the first of a larger series The Hibiscus Collection was inspired by lyrical form found in the Art Nouveau period. First imported from Asia, in the Americas the hibiscus flower is often associated with tropical Latin American sun as well of outlaying islands. The long stems mimic the curvature and soft arc of the blade. This surgical grade stainless steel, remains sharp even with constant use. The contours of the knife handle allow a perfect grip for comfort and control. The JAX* Collection was inspired by mathematical patterns as well as 16th century Persian latticework motifs. JAX* symmetric tiling slowly dissipates down the curvature of the blade - from heavy bold line, to one which delicately ends in hairline at the knife-tip.
